Terms and Conditions

Brown’s Organizing is committed to helping you declutter, downsize, and organize your life in an environment of mutual respect. Please read our Terms and Conditions to ensure that there is a clear understanding of what to expect from us and what is expected of you, the client. By booking our services, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions. Thank you.

  1. Consultation and Booking
  • Accurate details regarding the service type and specific requirements will be established during the initial consultation.
  • Brown’s Organizing will provide an estimate for the work and a plan of action. Adjustments may need to be made if the job turns out to be bigger or smaller than first estimated.
  • Once work dates are agreed upon, Brown’s Organizing will confirm your booking by email, text, or phone (at your preference).

2. Payment and Scope of Work

  • $300. per day (seven hours) and $200. per half day (four hours), plus HST.
  • A deposit of 25% of the estimated cost is required prior to the work starting. The remaining amount is due within a week of completion, unless otherwise agreed-upon.
  • At this time, payment methods include e-transfers and cash. Cheques may be considered, providing the deposit cheque can be cashed prior to the work starting.
  • The cost of purchasing storage, packing, and organizing products identified during the plan of action, such as boxes, bins, baskets, or shelving, is extra and will be part of the initial estimate.
  • Additional tasks or changes may arise during the job for which extra charges may apply, and will be agreed upon before proceeding.

3. Scheduling and Cancellation

  • Your work will be scheduled based on your and our availability, and can include weekdays, evenings, and / or weekends.
  • Rescheduling must be done a minimum of two business days prior to the scheduled date of the work. Late rescheduling or cancellations may be subject to applicable charges.
  • Please ensure access to the property at the scheduled time. If access is not provided, this will be treated as a same-day cancellation.
  • In case of severe weather or other emergencies, Brown’s Organizing may reschedule services for safety reasons. Clients will be notified promptly in such events.

4. Health and Safety

  • Brown’s Organizing follows health and safety protocols. Services may be declined if the environment is found to be unsafe.
  • Please inform Brown’s Organizing of any persons or pets who may be on-site during the service, so that we know who may be greeting us. 😊
  • Although Brown’s Organizing is not a cleaning service, in some instances, we may need to wipe surfaces and will use eco-friendly cleaning products.
  • Certain tasks, for example heavy lifting or handling hazardous materials, are excluded unless specifically agreed upon.

5. Liability and Damages

  • Brown’s Organizing is insured and will be careful to prevent damage. However, we are not liable for pre-existing damage or fragile or improperly installed items.
  • Please secure valuable or delicate items prior to the service and inform us of any special care instructions.

Brown’s Organizing reserves the right to terminate services if conditions are unsafe, if the client does not follow these terms, or if payment is not received as agreed upon.
